something i whipped up last night..
it may look out of proportion but it isn't.. i just have some ugly fat hands yet the rest of me is skinny.. hehe
go figure..
and also a kind of weird pose =)
also dont mind the background.. it isn't meant to be artsy or anything.. i had no intention of showing anyone this untill a friend recommended i post it.. so yeah.. i just chose that background because it makes you focus on the hand =)
neways im a 3d artist not 2d so this a big step for me =P
long time reader, first time poster.
i was rather scared to post my work but finally got around to doing so.
im a total newbie to 2d art but was pleased with my first results..
it was actually doing dhabih's tutorial i did this.. its about a 1 hour piece of work..
please let me know if this should be posted elsewhere.. any rules that go around that i should know.. and most of all some constructive feedback please..
love your guys art.. its fantastic and im hoping this will be a nice big learning experience
Edit: Fixed the link

Nice work! I for one do not quite like the green/purple combination, but whatever floats your boat =) The hand itself looks very good, can't really find much to crit about it except maybe that the knuckle of the thumb looks a bit odd. But then I'm just nitpicking. The skin tones are really good.
You did post it in the right place since it's a finished picture =) Finished pieces go in the Finished Gallery, discussions about art and such like into the Digital Art Discussion, and pictures and things that are under construction, you put in the Works in Progress. As for Random Musings... well... that's where all the weird fun is =)
I also advice you to go read the FAQ

yeah the thumb knuckle is a little to small i just noticed when comparing it..
there are a few small probs with the proportion.. but also i wasn't naturally holding a fist.. it was a weird pose =) |
