Haven't posted here in quite some time...frankly this forum is kinda intimidating
For my own non-commercial purposes, I colored some of Joe MAD!'s line work(hopefully he doesn't mind).

Inks: Townsend(I believe)

Looked at Liquid!'s version for some color reference and some suggestions for lighting.

Overall, this is exrememly good. The cup and gloves get a little lost in the hair, however. Perhaps some value changes can push the hair back or the others forward. It looks like there's a shaft of light falling onto the gold to her right (and it looks out of sight! Dynomite!). That could be the catalyst for some AMAZING light and shadow effects (and solve the hair/cup issue). Once again, this is, right now, fantastic, far better than I could do (being a PS ignoramus and novice colorist). |

Awesome!
I think the coloring is great, and that thing about the ligth source could be a fine start for some nice perspective shadows/light beams....anyway, what would look cool is if you detailed the gold coins, they look a bit neglected right now..

Wonderful coloring. Maybe a little bit too saturated, though. The drawing kinda reminds me of Azpiri's girls, very cute. |

The colors are too saturated, and the lighting seems artificial. The boots look nice though. I would suggest throwing in some blue tones in and around her shadowed area. Nice job though ;p |

hey Jicky, here's another version you can look at of that pic (mine) http://www.makotierra.com/fanmonika.htm
I use a different light source. I would agree with Akolyte in that the colors are too saturated. |
