Well, this is a quick Painter 6 sketch of what I see from my window. It's finished for me because I'll never refine it. Give your comments if you want, taking into account that my main concern was on the colours and lightning. Cheers . And you, the one that is replying to this, please look for my other, older post here, it got 0 replies .

hmm, well balance-wise.. it's too evenly balanced. You've got your focal point, the red building, right in the middle of the picture plus the bordering buildings are pretty similiar looking. I'd suggest changing the angle a bit next time.
Keep up the good work, I know how it feels when nobody responds to your post |

Very nice! One thing that ruined your picture is those unfinished windows. Fill them in with something dark and it should look perfect! |

Ysg: that's where Z was sitting I would guess, and to renovate and move the window.. well very impractical.
Overall it seems very bright. Maybe that's the Spanish sunshine though. Despite the fact that its a quick painting/sketch, you should still endeavour to capture the form of the buildings. I think because of the sunshine you have neglected to show any shadows, this is of course detremental to the overall effect and description of form. Basically I think you should work on your values a bit more. for referance if you want to know a bit more about values, or just revise the knowledge you have, then check out this guys tut's on his website. One of the forum members, I think its X-caponius.. anyway..

Goto the 12 value patterns tute, the others may be of interest as well.
P.S. I'll goto you other thread. |

Well, maybe I'll make a photo of the subject to show you how bright is the sight, really. At 3 o'clock in spanish summer everything is almost white the values represent nothing, hehehe. And really, the form of the buildings is not so important, (they're the most boring buildings that you could imagine). Thanks for the replies, althought . |
