I think I'm getting somewhere with these.

Agh, you sure are! I find myself trying to duck away from that first one.

Aaaaarrrgh, it's coming right at me! (Well, it doesn't - it's coming right at THEM - phew!)

Wonderful, alive, and dynamic images, Gecko!

Oh, my goodness, that second one looks like it's almost coming out of the page! The varying softness and those amzingly innocent eyes always following you made me think I was still wearing my 3-D glasses. Top notch work!

looks very nice gecko, I like the way you've used focal effects on these.

*what happened to your devotion to human anatomy ?

I really love you use of color =)
I would change something in the first pic: the eye of the dragon. It doesn't seem he's looking at the guys he's going to attack, and maybe it could be looking in a more agressive way, less opened the eye.
The second one is simply great, love the focal effect and colors =)

What everybody else said about the focal effect (really like that) and:

Wow!

[Edit: One thing about the first pic. The people don't seem to be impressed that a huge dragon wants to have them as an appetizer. They don't duck away or anything. This only came to me after looking at it for quite a while so it's not really that bothering...]

Hey Gecko! That first one is very good - great sense of scale!

I never thought of this before, but painting "depth" like our eyes would see it can really work effectively. Don't have much to say about this, really. Need to experiment more

I guess the people know not to duck as they're pretty used to being hunted by giant dragons :P

joachim... i refuse to give up! Playing with these effects has been really beneficial lately so this is where my time has gone.

Oh, fantastic!!

The focal effect... that seems to be when I am watching things with concentration...

That effect attracts me and takes my mind into your pictures' world... Also I love the dynamic compositions, your brushes' touches and your colors...
