God, why do I always keep forgetting about this site, and then having to "rediscover it" every few months?
Anyway, I've been drawing for years, but only recently have I started dabbling in colors. So I figured this might be a good place to get some feedback and maybe a few pointers.
Here are a couple of recent peices.

The first picture is obviously Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid 2
or someone who look exactly like Solid Snake but actually is not Solid Snake... |

I was just wondering about the posing in the first pic? I can't quite understand why he's standing that way........ |

nice drawing but your watercolours are weak... don't be afraid to put more colour and more water. oh what am i talking about..., your goal was to just point out some tones not to do a painting...
anyways nice |

Yeah, I think I am a little timid about really pouring on a bunch of paint real heavily. I've been trying to loosen up a bit and really let go and start experimenting.
But, overall, I am more interesting in setting a subtle mood with tone than "full on" painting. (Right now anyway. Hopefully, in the future, that will change.)
Both pics were just out of my head. No reference. And yeah, I have gotten comments from a few others concerning Snake's pose. (Yes, It is Solid Snake.)
Basically it comes down to me just cropping the picture in a really bad way. He was originally intnended to be resting both his elbows on a couple of bars, about level with his shoulders, but I guess it just ends up looking a little odd to some people.
Oh well, I always try to lean something for the next time.
Thanks for the input and comments guys. I do appreciate it. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

nice stuff. i really like that the texture of the paper made it thru the scanning process... adds something to it i think |
