That is awesome, fantastic, marvelous, beautiful, brilliant, I am running out of words, that is just breathtaking.
I don't think the ring looks thin, I mean, it does, but I think it's because of the lighting, so it fits the picture. |

woo hoo, nice painting Finer! I was turned off by the WIP drawing. I just finished reading the series again, so my own image of what they all look like is fresh in my head. Even so, this painting changed the whole mood. The poses looked much too stiff with just the line work, but now with the lighting in place it works.
In connection with what Edible mentioned, maybe a few more vague shapes coming out of the shadows behind or above Gandalf would add something.
Ah...I just increased the midtones and noticed a lot of the hidden detail. The darkness is better, but maybe a flicker of firelight cast against the ceiling or more moonlight coming through the window behind Gandalf would be nice? |

Hi Anders
AS usual, you used your "raytrace vision" to get the nice light..kidding. Nice one.

Thanks!
Edible Snowman: I felt something was missing in the left upper corner too, dont know what to do with it. The ring should have been wider with symbols on it but I dont want to use any more time on it.
Vebjorn: this raytracer got a lot of bugs |

Excellent.
The only thing that stands out is the perspective on the fireplace.
Look forward to more of your work here. |

its great
but at first look i didn't even notice the ring. Seeing as how its so powerful and magical, i think there should be more lighting around it. |

Though I shall maintain my carefully constructed facade of disaffected ennui, I am inwardly applauding your stentorian effort good sir. Well done indeed. |
