Nice pic Mikael. Quickly done I'm sure, but makes more sense than what I spend hours on.

Nicely done, micke. Is this a self-portrait or does it just look like you? I've noticed that a lot of the people you paint bear a resemblance to yourself. I think a lot of people do that, though.

LOL, that sucks.

(no, but really) The ear is too blurry, at least, I don't like it. Is there a reason it's so blurry?

Thanks for the replies!
Frost: Thanks I rarely manage to create something complete on my time off from work. Mostly just faces done for practice or exercise. I think you have tons of more interresting things going. I loved your monkey face in the Green monkey thread!
Awetopsy,v1510nAry:Thanks!
Saripol: I've started to try to work with exactly that lately, glad it looks ok.
Bg: Yeah, one of those.
daz199:Thanks!
Dixter: It's a sunny evening picture at work with with the blinds drawn.
roundeye: I have a mirror at work that i use from time to time, but in this case i just used a photo. I want to warm up before i start to paint with oils, so i just focused on the technique.
Poxen: Yes we have! Hmm..In Oslo we have "Hoved ya" and there's also a place called "Kalv ya" in asker outside Oslo. The water is still too cold though i think
Bishop: Thanks, well mostly if i try to figure out how to draw a nose or a head in a certain angle i use a mirror and if i'm not drawing anything specific it turns into this generic default "me" Joachim usually do that too. If i 'm doing character designs i try my best to break away from that.
Masamune, burnout, spiraleye:Thanks!
ex: Quick and blurry! Sorry about that. i don't have an excuse for it. I'm sloppy
Boomstick: Thanks! i'm glad to be posting again

Hope i have time to do more. I'm out of practise these days...Need to be straighten out!
-Mikael

Micke, you are the master of skin tones, you have done so well.. All of your pics, your character have very good skin tones, and the values are superb... referance material for me.. So kiddies.. 'This is how you should do it!'

Gosh. Norwegians look all the same to me Hehe...just the other day I stayed at a norwegian house and they gave me goat cheese, bagels, salmon, and some other kinda wierd fish for breakfast. Almost barfed .. but they tell me its what norwegians eat every morning.

Viva kraft cheese!

Oh yah, very nice pic btw micke. Really dont know what to say.. you even shaved that day eh?
