Okay first off sorry if you have seen this guy in the orc thread but i want some feed back on him, Created using lightwave 6.5 with subdivision surfaces, uv mapping and radiosity.
This is a mech i have been designing not finished but i thought id post it here because i probably never will finish him
This is a 16 hour radiosity render with a little touch up in photoshop.
Basic render with more views using a nice reflective surfaces i developed for a metallic car.
Hope ya all like them |

i like the orc. i dont think it is necessarily the best modeling i have ever seen, but i like how he has an expression. i get sick of 3d models that look like zombies. the rest of your work is choice.

That IS a nice orc. And I like the global illumination render of the mech--makes it seem more tangible than the other renders. |

Well, I actually dont like that orc, looks like a tutorial, BUT I LOVE THAT MECH!!
-the surfaces are beautiful, I know how hard it is to achieve that (oh boy do I know) and you've done it well. The GI thang, I don't really find it that great, but the lower renders show off your texturing skills better, GI doesnt really show off you lighting skills does it? anyway I am well impressed by that mech,
keep it up!

You know, if you add a socket thingy on that orc's head it will look like the one from Shreck |

the mech rules. ick to the orc, sorry hehe
i realllllly like the mech as a white plastic better than the reflective though heheehe it'd be cool to animate cuz it would be lightweight and not all that sturdy. |

The radiosity render looks like a photograph of a plastic model. For some reason, I like it more than the chrome render. (perhaps because chrome is way too overused today). Or perhaps I like the idea of having a killer robot made out of plastic. |
