Looks good Francis, non-generic looking design style. I wouldn't worry about asymetry - I like to draw two sides of my heads different, just so I can try two different designs on each. |

Whenever I use yellow it comes out looking so cheesy and... yellow... but when you use it it comes out looking great. It's just not fair Great drawings. I love the reddish robot gal on the bottom.

Great robotics. Your tech knowledge shows through and also your style. Great combo. Are these for fun or do they have a grand purpose? |

Looking gooo-ooo-ood! Yes, funky..
Fellas, I'm ready to get up and do my thing
I wanta get into it, man, you know....
Like a, like a fax machine, man,
Movin'... doin' it, you know
Can I count it off?
Get up, get on up
Get up, get on up
Stay on the scene, like a fax machine
Wait a minute!
Shake your arm, then use your form
Stay on the scene like a fax machine
You got to have the feeling sure as you're born
Get it together right on, right on.
Get up, get on up......
I said the feeling you got to get
Give me the fever in a cold sweat.
The way i like it is the way it is;
I got mine and don't worry' bout his
Get on up and then shake your money maker,
Shake your money maker........ |

Hmm.. I missed this topic... it doesn't hurt to take a look at the second page sometimes!!
Great work Francis. You deserve some more commnets, the turnaround here is ridiculous.
I like the machines... nice robo as someone else said. That brown marker is a bit icky..but ok.

you're doing pretty damn good, stylistically you may want to try to carve more of a niche for yourself, as I've seen a few other artists (sorry I don't recall names) whose marker work is similar, but your stuff is definitely at pro level pretty much. |

Dude, whenever I tried to do marker work like that, I ended up sniffing my markers dry. No work done, but hey, I'm so high I don't care =D
Awesome work, man. Your work is definitely up there =D |

I think all of those are awesome, may favourite is the one with the prehistoric torglodyte sort of face. Was the red eyed one inspired by a gorilla by any chance? |

Spiraleye - thank you, glad you like it.
Anthony - Asymmetry is OK if it's intentional - sometimes my drawings get a bit of a diagonal skew to them.
Jezebel - Yellow needs to be toned down, or else it can definitely get in your face. Helps to have some purple/blue in there to offset it. I'm referring to Munsell color wheel, rather than just the red-yellow-blue color theory.
Frost - Makes me happy to make you happy!
agent44 - OK thanks!
Lukias - good, glad you like.
Tepox - yeah, sort of vader-esque in the head shape, but also inspired by animal forms.
Isric - everything has a purpose.
Goldenboy - get on up.
Collosimo - thanks for bumping - yes high turnover round here.
klaivu - what's a Frank Horrigan?
Vesuvius - Cool, glad you think so!
AoD - gas masks. Or else get tanked beforehand, so it won't matter.
neebhore - Thank you - sort of, yeah. Maybe a baboon? |
