it's nice. i think a lil more contrast on the shading and highlights could add a bit more. maybe more details on the drum set
what size will that be? |

Nice poster...
I do howevever have some suggestions for you... I have just drawn some red lines on your pic to demonstrate the things which I will point out. This pic is smaller and of lower quality, just for demo purposes.
I think that your general composition is a bit boring, you need a bit more movement, and a more dynamic composition that will reflect a much mroe exciting and interesting band..
If you were to stick to this composition that you have at the moment, I have some suggestions..
I like the logo, it suggests movement and is a lot more interesting.. you can see the movement and direction in the letters as I have pointed out in red..
I think that the space that surrounds the edges and below the logo, seem to positively direct the movement and focus attention towards the band members..this is good! You can see this direction as arrows numbered with 1.
I also think that the head direction and eye direcetion is assertive in focusing attention towards the middle, this concentrates a viewer and stops them from escaping from the picture, and losing interest. You can see the arrows there..
With the same theory I also think that the shapes I have numbered with 3, seem to distract the eyes, and let them drift off the page.. you need to change them, and perhaps neutralise that drifting with a similar approach as shape 2.. or with a new approach that redirects attention back to the center!
I hope you understood that.. I am new to the theory of 'shape design', but what I do know is that it works.. it can be manipulated to great effect to create direction and therefore movement..
direction = movement (<<I am learning this as a graphic design student)
