Not sure if I posted this here, but have a look. I'm working on a future car right now.
I'll post that later next week. Modeled scene in AutoCAD for a project for work. The Car was modeled in Rhino and all Rendered in MAX4.

I like it, very detailed, I speacially like the bus on top of the bridge, most of the 3D urban pictures I've see always use a deserted street, the bus makes it look like it's a regular city really early in the morning before rush hour instead of an abandoned one. |

yeah ignore the car, it's the top of that bus that matters. Lets see some close ups of that bus now, just erase over the car.
(i'm kidding) |

thats sweet! how would you suggest learning to model cars like that. obviously practice of course, but are they are specific methods useful to know? |

Nice. Gotta say I love the front scoop, awesome idea, I think that designs which push the boundaries are really inspirational...
I've never thought of it like that! Cool front end. |

Thanks all of you guys. Yeah that Bus Rocks HUH. Spent allot of time on that baby...
the Bus that is.... yeah right just kidding. I modeled most of the Scene in Autocad And Rhino3d. That it was made for work. I have some animations of the intersection. without the car. :/
How I modeled the Pyro---
I modeled the car in Rhino3D by taking a Sphere and dividing it up into 12 sections, By stretching and pulling and scaling points I made the basic are form. No wheel wells were made in that process. Then I projected curves to subtract areas out of it. Like the windows and the wheel wells, lights etc. Then I used some lofts here and there and made a few cuts in the body for the doors and hood.

The model looks great, and the bg's nice. You might want to work on the car's surfacing more though, add a fresnel effect, and just tweak the heck out of it. Nice job! |

the never ending job of tweeking. I think this car has been every color but pink now. What is this effect you are talking about?
Is it sparkly or something or have a grainy texture to it..

you should try downloading the brazil renderer beta (or alpha or something). you r image didnt render very well in terms of realism and anti-aliasing (body reflection). also it doesn't seem like the edge parts of the car are fillet'd, which i think would add a lot to the model. other then those nitty picky thingies, nice job. |

Yeah I have that brazil thing, I did render it in yellow, But I think the model is as far as it going to to go. I'm moving onto another one, and I'll add those nitpick things to it.. thanks BUD. I'm thinking of adding a body with a dud in the car make it look like its racing down the street.. future thoughts...
here is the Brazil test..
