Alright, its not really venus, but it reminded me of it. So this is my first post and first attempt at painting(or anything else in color for that matter). PLeeeeZ crit.
As usual i tried to draw the background last and couldn't make it fit, if anyone has any ideas, you are welcome to post them.

Very beatifull, i like it good choice of color and good atmosphere.

What a great first post! Lots of mood. Lots of colors too. It creates a sense of movement with the cool colors interacting with the warm tones.

No need for a back ground to me, the soft variation in tones works well enough.

Keep at it.

Cool colours.. you have really gone to town there..

Just make sure the bg has texture...
