Oh yeah, Tepox!!!! Can't believe nobody replied to this yet!

Very nice lighting! you might want to make the edges on the gun and the legs as exact as on the back - they look a little blurry right now, and you want this bad boy to be crisp & lifelike!
The other minor thing would be the light streaks - I'd carefully airbrush them, for a nice finish ...

All in all, very cool!

Yeah, this creature is a nice combo of a lot of different creatures...very cool. I like the colors but I think his pose is slightly too 'posed' or too rigid. Hope more people notice this as Loki says, it deserves more attention!

Looks cool, only the way the creature is standing is a bit weird, like he's playing a shoot em up in front a computer screen.

Nice I do agree though the pose is a bit static, and uninteresting. The only bit i don't like are the shells flying out of the gun, they seem too bright compared to the other objects on the lhs of the picture.

Other than that - a good colouring job.

There's some really nice stuff happening here Tepox. I love that sparkling ground

Yeah, sometimes an image can become muddy. It used to happen to me all the time, until I realised that I was being overly timid with my brush marks. I found that using a higher opacity (maybe 15%) helped, and I started to use less lines. I also moved away from the soft edge brushes and air brush in general. Maybe try that...

In terms of the actual drawing, don't be afraid to exaggerate the poses. That way, you'll tend to get something more dynamic.

Also, it's easy to overdue volumetric lighting effects, so just maybe check out some reference (underwater shots are usually the best examples) and maybe make it a little bit more subtle.

Mine is just a rough suggestion, but there's many ways you could go. Why not try it again, with a different pose and use your initial post as a lighting reference/colour key? I think you'll find it'll come alot quicker as it's almost there already. Whatever you do, keep posting!

I agree the pose is weird (and motionless)
maybe i was too careful 'cause i tried to not get superhero pose. Argz. but Now my poor pal looks jammed to the ground... especially when i saw myriad's pose suggestion.

Visual myriad: First thought I saw your version: that is a horny little bastard!!!
But anyway your advices/suggestions are very valuable to me. thanx!

well, I didn't use soft edged brushes and airbrush at all (excepting for those miserable light streaks and a little on the ground)
I try to go more cleanier next time...

Thank you for commenting!
