My god this is good stuff

His face looks so solid I think I could stick a peanut up his nose. Also I love the high lights on the Trombone. Not sure what’s that looks-like-cloth-thingie is, it's too blurred compared to the rest of the image. But it doesn’t bug me much. Nice job man! =]

Sweet painting, when it was loading i thought it was the ref photo and your rendition was coming up... its a trumpet not a trombone .

Very nice painting Leo! I don't find anything to crit. Very near of photorealism.
one curious question: Did you use noise (or something like that) filter to get some extra shapness?
