The latter picture requires a full realization of the value quantitation group functions. Your beta channel grays are all out of sync. A routine auto-thatcher, coupled with an algorithmic displacement routine, should complete the job quite well. After that, all you should have to do is resurface the core brightness assignments with a low-opacity raster vector tool.

Guys, guys, I sense some of you are being sarcastic and don't really believe he drew the pic. Ever heard of giving someone the benefit of the doubt? He probably just got off to a poor start, happens to us all sometimes.

In the time on Saturday I usually spend at the soup kitchen feeding the homeless, I drew my own inbetween steps to show you how he might have done it. The homeless will go hungry today, but it was worth it.

(Since I don't want to take credit for Stan's work, the first and last steps are his, the rest I drew in photoshop with the paintbrush.)
