Hello everyone,
This is my first post in this forum here. I've been lurking around here for some time, hoping to gain some drawing and PS tips. Anyways, here's my first attempt at drawing and colouring (with Photoshop). I only picked up sketching in January, so please give me your advice.
The picture was based off a photo of Kate Hudson in a Sept 2000 Vanity Fair issue. I'd appreciate any comments and criticisms (other than how small the boobs look, I've had enough on that one lol). Thanks.

Her arms are WAY too short. Notice that when you stand up with your arms straight by your side, your elbows are at your waist. Her elbows here come only to slightly below her breasts.
Her head is also too big for her frame. |

Good point. Point taken. I'll rework on the arms and head bit now. Any comments on how I should approach the colouring and shading? How do you guys do those great hair textures? I've only got a mouse, can't afford one of those neat tablet things. Don't think I'll ever get one until those prices drop a bit. |
