Cos my man! Looks pretty cool. Did you paint it like this, or did you reduce the colors?

I love this, been looking at it for a while now, i love how you've done the wings. The face at the moment i think is pretty cool, look's hollow. The lack of expression is coming from the eyes... in my opinion.

Binke - Da binksta! tanks man, Yeah It was painted this way. Started with grey and
white, Got some blends with 50% opac then 100% from there. Then I.. (shut up cos, he
gets the point) oh ok

Kat - hey thanks alot, glad that you liked it

neebhore - Thanks originally the eyes were showing but when I blacked them out it
just seemed to add more to the mood, hmm I dunno, don't think I will return to it.

Looking good Cos. If you want him to look more sad, try removing the dimple in the left (our left) corner of his mouth. It makes him look kind of smiley. On the other hand the expression is nicely mysterious as it is.

wow thanks everyone for the positive response I was in two minds if the style worked
so I'm glad you liked it. I neatened a few areas and decided to extend the canvas a little which might add some more to it (replaced the one
up there with it). I'm not too happy with the creases on the garment but frakk it.

Solid Transient- actually it was an older groupboard sketch I found going thru my hd
and decided to paint over.

Rhomb- I see what you mean, maybe its a little over defined. I'll try lighten it up a
touch and see how that looks.

Shadowman- Nah, dont think I'll colour it.

What is it this reminds me of...? Something.... It's the expression on his face...the hollow eyes.... Yeah. It really reminds me of some of the art in Preacher (the comic book). In a good way. I love the looseness of this, and the excellent lighting. Looks like you had loads of fun doing this.

Do more like it...

...please.

hehe thanks Socar Myles I'll probably try something else like this. Not sure if it reminds me of Steve Dillons work tho.. maybe its the big chin, Dillons pretty famous for them.

No, don't put them in, i think it wouldn't look as good. What I meant was, where it turns dark at the eyes, I'm assuming is his eyebrows, at the moment they look highly raised, an expression of shock or something. If they were lower and slanted maybe he would look more miserable, do you follow?? And maybe angle the corner of his mouth down aswell. Not sure

neebhore - ello again yeah I get what you mean now, exagerate the mouth and eyebrows some more, not sure if it would lose the subtlety then tho. To be honest I'm pretty happy with it not to change it now, buuuttt I will still give that a try and see how it looks, thanks

Dark Goth- Thanks

Alsoo forget to say that I am a fan of Dillons work (have been for ages) so that was a great compliment

cool, your shapes and values work nicely together. Good shading. Nice feel to it. MAbe to make it llok more sad you could lower the cheeks a touch. Of course the most obvious thing to do would be to make the head droop in a sulky sad pose.
