I know there may be probs with the horses anatomy, I didn't use any reference at all, for any of the image, so it is what it is, but what do you think anyway?? I'd love to hear it...

wow.. that Is really beautiful. great job..

Im very impressed. I love the ground.. and the background..

just all of it.. Its really beautiful.. the only thing that I think is that the horse looks a little stiff... but honestly I havent draw horses enough times to know how to not make them look stiff... but great work..

I love the grass and how you did the shadow and highlights on it. The horse does seem a bit stiff though, and I think there should be a bit more of a highlight on the horse's back... eh? Oh, and what is in the way background? A second castle?

I like it too...I think the compostion would be improved if you would do something about the castle. Right now it appears way to flat and awkward. I think placing it at a different angle so we could see it in 3-d would help. Placing in a nearly 3/4 view the same as the horse would draw the eye towards the horse, almost as if the horse ran away from the structure. Just my opinion of course...

Awetopsy - this is my first time drawing a horse, so yeah I agree with you on the stiffness, I was more comsumed with trying to make it look, "like a horse" from memory that I neglected to make it have that freedom look. I'm gonna do some more studies..

Kazz- I was hoping noone would notice the banana got lazy with it..

Bradford - thanks

NeoFun- yeah it's the local medieval Ramada, for those who live in the main castle and wish to vacation during the summer I agree on the highlight thing will fix it

thanks everybody

General you didn't take my advice about the horse anatomy. I see that everyone loves it but that's probaly because they have never studied horse anatomy. I have. I don't want to be redundant so I will not mention every thing but definitly shorten that front leg and add the missing muscles to were the legs attach front and back. also that torse looks kind of fat like a ball of clay or something.

The horse's righ foreleg seems to be bending in wrong direction. Other than that and some other issues that's been mentioned I like the pic very much. The brushwork, lighting and the overall composition looks great.

: ino:: - I though about doing that, but wasn't sure if it would make a difference, I'm gonna look into it though

shardik - I really should look at reference for this

Shadowman - ok, ok I ignored you, but you're used to that by now...

Rhomb - good point, will fix it..

trudel - I'm trying to do that, make it convincing with a little effort, I'm glad you like it

wakestarr - no refs and I painted it directly in Pshop with no line drawing, and no tablet..

thanks everyone for your comments, I have another one I'll be posting pretty soon.

*snaps fingers*
And I thought it'd be a potrait of EdLee. Ahh, I guess I have to wait a lil longer for that one. I'll wait for Feng to make him into a warrior babe. After he makes me a warrior babe....

hehe, I really really like this, but probably my 2 favorite parts are the tree (such beautiful textures on the trunk, very very vety nice work) and the setting of the scene.. is very, very nice. I do like the horse too, of course. Did you use a refernce picture for this, just out of curiosity?

Thanks very much, beautiful work..

Luci- thanks for your comments. I appreciate it, and no, I didn't use reference. I'm gonna go back into it and use it when I fix it, based on alot of the comments people said, but initially I didn't use anything..

Hey General... haven't seen you brushes around here lately. I like your work, I always enjoy the lighting in them... and the horse looks fine to me.

Frost- thnx man, I saw your name and expected some nice critical commentary. Like I love to see from ya!!! I'm glad you like it, so I'm not complaining , but like I've said previously, I admire your work alot also so it feels good that you feel the same way towards mine... I've been lurking, but haven't been really able to post, hopefully I'm back now, and I'll be able to get back in the mix. I've just been real busy with the paying gig... but again thanks for the comments, I appreciate it...
