Well I've been repainting a few things around here, so I thought it might be fair to throw up some of my old pencils for someone else to colour...heh.
Want to try it out guys? I have a higher res if necessary, but this should be big enough to play with for now, ya think?
Let's see.

Yeah...I really hate that hand..but since I scanned it when it had perspective problems, I left it that way
Thanks man. |

Thanks guys, they're not the strongest pencils (that damn hand man...it haunts me..heh) but getting feedback is great.
Afex: Wow, someone's actually done that horrible tutorial...hehe. I wrote that a while back as a REAL amateur introduction to digital colouring. Since I'm still tablet-less I've been writing a few more for the tablet impaired crowd to become better with their mice. Good to know someone enjoyed that exercise

I'm back !
I haven't done alot to it, haven't had much spare time, but I am going to finish it. Hope you like it, be warned it's not very good!
Comments etc, are very much welcomed... i'm eager to learn.
I'm particularly chuffed with the hair, i read through ENAYLA's tutorial, and then i tried to mix that knowledge with my own style, so i'd especially appreciate comments about that! |

Sorry neebhore, didn't see it until now
I love what you've done with the hair, nice texture, but just a bit blurry. The eyes are great, very catlike...and the bridge of the nose being flat and spread adds to that.
I'd probably shade it in a bit to seem more human, but that's me
Great work so far..just keep adding depth, and I think it's coming along really nicely. The white skintones are great too. Let's see it built up more!

YAY. Yeah, I'm gonna do more dynamic shading to the skin, might play with the hair some more, but I'm not sure what to do with her clothing... make it shiny armour or leather sort of stuff. I dunno, i'll think of something, thnx dude.
[edit] - i said "mite", urgh... *slaps self*

Well when I sketched it, I was going for a bit of a dark cast iron armour/metal look, except for the thighs, and that was dark leather.
Whatever you want, free reign to go nuts on it
Can't wait to see your progress. |

Good pencils, but that hand is just freakish. I actually jumped from my chair, hid in the corner and starting weeping. There hasta be a way of fixing that. Maybe I'll give it a shot.
Maybe....

I tried. Personally I think it's better, but what isn't? Anyway here ya go. The thumb got a little messed up in scanning, but it shouldn't be a prob for coloring. If you would like me to rescan and post I will.

Jucas:
Nice work, but, unfortunately, you've given inverse perspectives to the hand as compared to the arm now.
The old hand had huge issues (mostly because I was tired of it, and didn't bother doing a sweep line for the perspective finger length), but it followed the depth perspective of the arm. The way you have it now, her arm would be dislocated at the wrist, and her hand would be behind the forearm
Nice work on it though, if you changed the arm along with it, it would make for a huge improvement. Good show
