Since my first post here I've learned a few things... worked with references for a little while and focused on getting anatomy to look better. This is a character I came up with pretty recently. Let me know what yo think....

WOAH frekay! thats scary looking... really sus look its giving me..

It looks like it is concealing fangs, and when I turn my back NASH NASH NASH! ...

you seem to use dodge and burn a lot, maybe too much IMO, it makes everything look flat in colour, and in some places just too shiny.

Painting in the colours themselves, instead of dodge and burn, gives them a variation of hues and value that is important to make things look not so flawless. Dont get me wrong though, use dodge and burn but only when it is applicable. At the moment because of the dodge and burn shading, it doesn't look as ALIVE as it could.

The image is pretty cool and original. As per previous comment, be care with the whole dodge and burn deal, sometimes it can be overkill. I do however like the colour scheme and the lighting effect is quite nice. The way you have the silky fur is also cool but probably just needs to be a little tighter as it is blurry in some sections. I'm not sold on the whole nose and eyes, they just seem a little big. Also the structure of the hair that curls forward just doesn't look right. It looks as though it has been stapled onto the forehead. Again a nice image and something a little different.

taking a second look at this i really hate the hair.... it seems all wrong. I do use the dodge and burn a lot though... anything else about it good/bad? anyone?
