This painting had no reference, other than memory. My last painting was based on a couple of different photos.

I like the expression of the praying face. The lighting is interesting too, comming from 2 sides? Me likes. |

this I like. didnt think he was praying until I read bradfords input, I suppose it was because he seem to be in either physical or mental pain, as if a tear would run down his face any moment. you've got quite a distinctive palette limitation over the whole image, looks clean. DARYL saves to hd.

Awesome I've never seen that color combination before! ..beautiful. I like that the expression on his face isn't completely one emotion; he's not completely concentrated-looking or in pain, etc. It lets your mind wander a little.

Nice atmostphere.. nice pic.
What are squiggles on the bottom right? and that dark patch. They are a little bit distracting but still cool. |

Nice colour palette Francis, gives the piece quite an ethereal quality to it.
I'm not entirely sure about this but considering how strong the two light sources are wouldn't the area inbetween where the light hits his head be darker. |

Hey nice Francis! I hadn't seen this thread go by... (sigh). Maybe his shoulders should be a little lower, in a hunched, but more relaxed form?
Nice face and lighting!
