In the midst of struggling with faces and bodies, I've taken a break to do a nother photo reference piece - it's like a quick fix compared to the drawn out, but more satisfying non reference pieces I'm also trying.
Reference used for colours mainly.
Oh yeah - Happy Easter everyone

nice one.
I especially like the detail you gave the anemone tentacles with the shadaows and such, it would have been easy to overlook them.
the only thing that gave away the image as not being a photo (to me at least) were the fish's bellies, they look a bit blurry.

really could fool a lot of people... obviously not here but maybe some? LOL
Yeah those shadows an anenome details really add to the reality of the image.

Very good pic!.. Here to help is one quick suggestion. At the end of each tube It fades from a redish middle to the more beige edges. The tubes need a higher percentage of redish/pink before they fade into the beige. Look at the tips in the photo to see what I mean.

pretty cool, although, from experience I'd have to say that perticular fish is supposed to have a white stripe on it's side which while only a tiny bit visible on the reference, would be very visible on the one on the right in the drawing...
heh that's awesome though, reminds me how long it's been since I've dived in the red sea.... an experience I'd reccomend any time
