I'm trying to get my site in order, and spent the evening overheating the scanner and organizing other areas a little.
I hope digging through other people's sketchbooks is as fun to(/for?) you as it's to(/for?) me.

Images 1-7

Images 8-15

(The second fish is an etching, other mediums include pencil, markers and ink)

That's really nice work Gecko! I especially like the looseness of some of them.

Hey Gecko,

I really enjoy your style. There's something about the challenge of drawing birds that really brings out a persons style.

Cool Stuff. Maybe they just stand out in my mind because they were a bit different, but the guy with glasses and the last bird are my favorites I think.

My favourites would be the numbers three and six.

I wanted to spend time with my sketchbook and get lots more practise, but now i want to do the matte cubes! and the 500 paintings! what about human anatomy! omg. I guess going with the sketchbook is best right now, I want to get rid of the shaky lines.

brue: The only bird I remember using reference for is the inked head, 1st pic 2nd page. There was a school assingment where we were supposed to pick a theme and concentrate six weeks on it.
I started with some books of birds, and a few days later I had the form in my head well enough to rotate different angles, but bird head is pretty simple in comparison to human for example. Thank god if i'll ever learn that.
That's where the birds come from, although it doesn't explain my thing with animals :]

rhomb: i like number six too!
frost: when are you gonna scan some of them?!

what the hell is it with the eyes? :) I need to go learn more now.
