i think the breast match the fact he is an old man adds to how the skin would lag.
the shoes look like they are going to come out real origonal i like them ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

I`d agree to a point about the bitch tits and a point with them sagging with age but the sholders are pretty strong looking to have bitch tits, and the stomach looks like it should have bitch tits....In a way, it reminds me alot of myself..
Either way, those shoes are cool, are they the new Nike air Jordans?

You need to evaluate where you are spending your polies. In a moderate-level polygon count like this, you need to have a relatively even distribution of polies across the entire model. The forehead, ears, and fingers are very disparate when compared to the shoulders, legs, and feet in terms of polycount. The most important place you can spend polies is in the large, round forms, and the areas that will deform a great deal in animation, like the shoulders.
In addition, some of the detail you have defined by polies, such as the inside of the ears, the wrinkles on the forehead, and the folds in his gut, are better defined with the shaders. If this is a game model, which it appears to be, the polies that you save from these areas can be better spent on the joints and round forms.
That said, I really like the character of this guy. His face and hands look like they will make for very expressive animation. You did a great job on the eye and mouth area especially. Keep up the good work. |

well im happy that you guys all enjoy my model
as for the poly distrobution...i agree and disagree.the thing to note about this model is the fact that hes my subject that im using to learn mirai.
he will not be a game character..so once im done with setting him up and everything..then i will smooth him.
thats why some areas dont need as many polys.
though there are areas that need more polys.
his gut is made like that because when he bends over then his stomach will fold.
his breasts will fall..so detail is important.
there will be additional detail given to this model like minor wrinkles, stretching skin..etc. through textures , but that will be done by kirk mobert ( an ex artist from Olyptics)
i need to make him ready for any given situation
oh..and about the shoulders...i dont worry how anything deforms because if there is any deformations that dont look right then i can fix through using skin displacements...so that every single deformation tha the makes looks just right every time.

kickass
sweeeeeet man
shoulders are strong
the abs is kinda squished n flabby
he's thin
he's old
i don't think his tits should be THAT saggy, and that big. He's pretty thin lookn for it to b like that.
i like the pants and the feet |

nice ass model, I have Nendo, and it's fun and all (except for the fact that it won't run on win 2000 and only on 98 for me)
what tools does mirai add to the modeling that nendo dosn't have?

maybe its hour hardware.
i run both nendo and mirai on win2k here.
as far what it adds..
theres more smoothing algorithims.
WAY more control over your transformations
things like translating by using an edge on your model as an axis..
or from the origin..
or the aim point.
or from midpoint of selected verticies..
etc..etc..
lots of control there.
virtual mirror. ( other apps call it
symetrical modelling )
skeletal modelling.
save skeletal/ mesh states ontop of themselves..so you can bring them out and mix them together to get new sates.
its got a non linear animation timeline ( its on par with the nla animation mixer that softimage xsi provides )
2d/ 3d paint tools.
compositing tools.
and soon it wil support sound as well
well thats a short version of what its got...and to make it shorter....extract 5% of mirai and you get nendo.

Awesome model man,
Really cool use of the faces, just enough to make the shapes and it looks good at the same time.
I want to try Mirai, I have been using nendo and max for a while. Nendo rules as far as modeling goes.
Congrats!

wow, that sounds pretty cool, well I get 3D studio at school for the class I'm taking, and Nendo was a bargain at a free demo.... but I don't think I'm at the point where I'd like to buy a full 3D suite for myself... I don't suppose they have a student's discount?
