all right, these are all drawings from my Intermediate Drawing studio class. These are in order from newest to oldest. woo.
Crits and thoughts and opinions and stuff are always welcome.
this first one is... my bed. Was fun making something look "fluffy" with a technique as mechanical as hatching... charcoal and white pencil used.
this next one is a studio drawing. Vine charcoal, charcoal and white pencil used.
this one is a "forgery" of a master's drawing. The original is by Leonardo de Vinci. 2B and Ebony graphite pencils used.
this was a quick 20 minute studio drawing done with black conte crayon

looks very good totally ! Me likes
It's really good to do those kind of studies. Another really good thing to do is to after you've done a few, then try to draw some straight from imagination and see if you can analyse how things should be according to the type of material and position. Like, doing a leg with jeans in different positions....And, then go back again and see how it looks from a photo in the same positions...A very good way to addapt what you see into understanding.
Sorry, just rambling out ideas about the subject matter.
But, good job

hey thanks for the response Joachim.
heh despite the fact that you think you were rambling yes, I know what you're saying... really the reason to do these kinds of studies is to have a better understanding of how drapery works, how light hits it, how the shadows work, what makes it look soft and fluffy, etc etc... so that we can use this understanding to create realistic lookin stuff, even if we don't have a reference.
Anymore comments (or critiques) from anyone are always welcomed... and if you have any incite that you think could be helpful, feel free to share...
