Hi i used to frequent these forums under a different name. I never posted anything so here is my first try so I hope this works.

Its supposed to be Abe Lincoln. I just wanted an excuse to read about the man so i decided to do an illustration to help motivate me.

very pretty.

i think the ear is a LIIIITLE too big but very pretty.

i think the wrinkles are too strong but pretty stuff

I did take a lot of liberties while painting this. One of my primary goals was to get the feel of oil paint on the computer.

I work a lot in oils and my work is loose and I have been influenced a lot by artist like Dean Cornwell and Harvey Dunn.

I also like to caricature somewhat. Not so much that it looks childish but just tweak it here and there. I believe that while doing a portrait you want to caricature a little. Most of the best portraits I have seen have been caricatures.

I am glad you like my work. I don';t know what I did wrong while first trying to post. I thought that I followed the directions correctly but i guess not, Could it also be because I am on a Mac?
