To accompany the discussion on modern art going on in the discussion forum (see "Fine art, sheesh"), I decided to post this piece of digital "modern art" that I did.
It's called Man vs. Bacteria

Wow, I can really sense the emotion in this piece.
The colours bring about a feeling of deep emotional struggle, a mental battle between the obtrusive interference of todays intense nature and the political stifeling that has man within its perpetual circle of distain.
Simply magic, your the apitomy of the artistic mastermind.
I'm one of those people that walks around in art galleries and likes to think they know what the artist intended and what mental issues he had at the time.
wank wank.
(actually I don't.....I find those people funny)
Oh yeah, this is...ermm.... nice

Burnout: I do say so
Hyperion - sorry, it was made on a Mac. Different gamma and all that.
Lukias, no need to read deeply into a piece if you don't want to. Half of every piece of art is what the viewer brings to it. If the viewer sees something different then the artist intended, so much the better - a dialogue has been started. And if the viewer chooses to see nothing at all, well, whatever ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/wink.gif) |

Plouffe - Oh well, I didn't really expect a reaction to my piece at all from this forum, let alone a positive one. But something a little more constructive would be nice. What can you tell me about this piece? If it were yours, what would you do differently? How does the title relate to the piece?
I made the piece about 3 years ago, but it's an interesting thing to exercise our brains on. |

It's so obvious to me now! The speckles are the bacteria and the man is hiding behind the jack-in-the-box. That's deep dude! |

um, you asked Plouffe how does the title relates to the piece...what does the title matter? If you want to have something to "exercise our brains" read a book. I prefer to see something that takes some talent, not inventive titling or some neat ideas behind some basic theme. Or maybe I'm a complete ass, either way, I just don't get it.
