I was given the task, by my colleague Joachim Barrum, to paint a Klingon bird of prey (or something similar). It had to under construction on the Klingon homeworld. It is great fun being handed an idea and trying to depict it. I feel like I am back at the University again.

I think it's amazing. I like all the little lights, but, i don't think your clouds do you justice ! |

the clouds and the lights seem to be the only (slightly)weak spots that i can see in an otherwise incredible piece. in that, when looking at them,my mind runs through the procedural steps in thier creation instead of wondering how they were done.... make any sense? no? ok...
if postcount is proportionate to validity, then by all means ignore me=) |

Hey thanks guys, I'm glad you like the painting. I am thinking what I can do with the lights to do them better (perhaps some of them are a bit too big). I am also working on the clouds, I'll post an update later on today. |

I have updated my image. I added more atmospheric fog. And I have fixed the lights and the clouds. I am still not totally pleased, but that is a good thing. I will tinker a bit more on it. The weekend is here, so it means more time to do such.
