Pretty damned good. Especially for fifteen. The main thing that needs improvement is the anatomy. While you have a lot of good detail in the muscles, the proportions just aren't quite right in some places.
So the best way to improve at this point is to (obviously) practice drawing people more. Especially draw from life as much as you can. See if you can get family members or friends to pose for you, then draw them as accurately as you can. Don't worry too much about the details at first though - just go for basic shapes and proportions. It will help you immensely. |

Holy crap yer are good for 15 ... like your attitude too! Keep going - if you're doing stuff like this at your age, that means you can be further ahead than most other 20 year old guys Never rest!

Really solid drawing skills for fithteen. My work at that age was pitafull! I agree that the anatomy needs improvment, which is really down to proportions. Take a look at Bizzard's rescent post "Driller". The angles and dynamics look perfect, esp. the last picture. This mabey a style thing but I suggest toning down the muscle detail and concentrate more on shape. Gentle higlight lines and shading should cover the muscles. The second picture looked kinda like the guy has had his skin ripped off, and we are seeing underneath! The face is good though. Well! You did say go harder on! But you are definately on your way, no doubt. |

Well, its a lot better than me at 15. Hell, its probably better than me now. There are problems with anatamy though.
Are you influenced by DBZ?

Hey what's up. Actually I never started drawing until I was 17. Now I'm 24, it seems like just yesterday. Actually I stopped drawing for 3 years but enough about me. It's pretty cool that you're motivated at a young age to do something, having said that.
Concerning your image.
1] The detail is losing me. I'd back off of it some what. Try adding shadwo as opposed to multiple lines.
2] The poses are not very exciting. Chracter poses are just like anything else. Try referencing from some fashion magazines for good poses.
You definitely seemed influenced directly from some specific anime as opposed to just drawing anime in general. this is probably the reason behind the muscular detail. I'd try a few different things and maybe move towards some original look and feels. Sort of explore. As well drawing all different types of chracters also helps. All in all though, it's pretty cool to see that you're motivated. Kepp it up.

i can tell that the first pic. is a remake of a frank frazetta painting done a long time ago, but i think it is a cool remake...although no one can out do frank. yeah if your trying to draw the keep up the good work otherwise if your trying to turn it into a finished work then listen to these other cats about less use of hard lines and more shadow and smoothe blending. i would definitely look through some more frank frazetta paintings to keep up your inspiration... |
