Used 3DS Max 2.5, Nendo and PS....This is only a front end and still need to build the mid, and tail parts. For personal project. Comments are welcome.. Ed--

That looks... cool. It's very mechanic and all but I think that ppl need stuff to relate to, for example eyes or teeth or something recodnizable. That thing looks realistic and pretty damn cool but I can't tell if the first pic is a top view or a side view (I'm guessing side).
Man, modeling and placing all those parts must have taken a hell of a long time, I never have enough patience to finish ANY of my personal projects.
BTW what does nendo have that 3DS modeling doesn't?

Oh oh oh! Me First!

This is looking excellant. I LOVE the transperant glass as SoMK pointed out. And the detail in everything is wonderful. Keep up the damn fine work! I know you will anyway

Does it have a somekind of idea or did UFO man rape you and force you to do that kind of model or else..?

<<<<<<<<BTW what does nendo have that 3DS modeling doesn't?>>>>>>>

..except for the easy learning curve...
..nicer modelling interface..
..the ability to model faster through context sensitive menus...id say ..not much
max is a good app but its interface doesnt make poly modelling as nice as it is in nendo.

Yeah, Nendo is a $99 modeling package that one can download from the website. The technology is a trickle down from Mirai, a superb sub-div modeling software. Nendo is fast and intelligent little modeling software that is a nice addition to Max. Max's modeling toolset is little wonky for me still, even in R4. The tools in Nendo, such as mirror and inset is much needed in Max.Ed--
