Hi everybody,
I've been organizing my portfolio and resume, so I haven't had much time to draw.
But, here's a web site I put up really quick the other day to aide my portfolio. It's temporary until I have the time to make a better one, but it works. Plz. take a look if you have the time.
http://www.geocities.com/isaac_hannaford
I think I've already posted most of the work on the site, but some of the stuff is new.
Thanks,
-Skeez |

Hey Skeezer. THanx for the comments on my Marker renderings in the concept forum. I really appreciate that.
Im like having the best day ever.=) A few hours ago i emailed someone who worked on Star Wars episode 1 as a Concept artist. HIs name is Kun Chang. You can find some of his work here: http://www.starwars.com/episode-i/features/chang/
Anyways like i said i emailed him and asked him if he had icq so that we could chat and he could give me pointers and soo on GUess what like 1 hour later he adds me to his icq contact list and then after like 30 seconds of chatting he tells me he will Call me LOL. Kinda freaky. I live in Ottawa and he now lives in Montreal. So he calls me up and talks about the biz and all that stuff. We talked for about 2 hours and half. Man he is really talented and very nice person. Anyways he ends up saying to me if im ever in montreal i should drop by and see his portfolio and show some of my stuff ( Which i did send him scans of stuff i made)
Well just thought id share.Im soo happy.. He was very incitefull ( grrr i cant spell)
talk to ya later skeez |

hey skeezer...you got a real nice setup there..i really like your work...but one thing that kind of bothered me was that soo much of it is real small...especially your 3dsmax stuff..
you should make each piece at least 800x600
remember that most studios can afford high speed connections...so they can browse through your site a lot easier than someone with a 56kb modem.
good luck to you!
btw..i really like that faerie picture.

skeezer: Looked over your site, man you got some cool ass stuff in there. I would agree that the 3dsmax stuff should be a little bigger. They look nice and we want to see them up close. :P
just a question for you though, you marker renderings, do you use marker paper or straight up copier paper?
Plouffe: What did you learn from Kun Chang? Anything you can share?

WE talked for over 2 hours. Sure i would have some stuff to share but um i dont know where to begin. Hmmm we mainly talked about concept art and other stuff like storyboarding and illustration.. Well he did mention that it is very hard to break into the movie biz. You basically have to be at the right place and right time and have to have the right connections.
Choosing a good school with teachers that have connections to directors and visual effects company is a plus.
HMm he told me the only reason why all the concept art for Starwars looks visually PLEASINg hehe is because they make profit selling books with these kinds of imaging. Usually concept art is mostly scribbles and The Idea counts. YOu can really suck at drawing but as long as you have the right ideas. Dont get me wrong you still need to know how to draw hehe.
He mentioned that doing comic books would be a way to breaking in the movie biz if you want to do storyboarding. Comic book artist are usualy the first pic at this kind of stuff since they know how to break down motion ( ARGHH cant find the right word heh)..
WEll he talked about lots of stuff which is really interesting... |

Hey Skeezer! I saw your animation last year at the digital arts symposium! The one where the guys from Sony Imageworks vistied!
Your animation was the hangar with the ships right?! In my opinion, it was the best one on the reel...
Nice stuff, good luck out there in the real world! |

Hey Panda, thanks.
I really liked that animation, unfortunantly I haven't done much more. That one was done after about three months of learning 3D Studio.
Are you still going to Highschool? I used to have district swimmeets up at the Fidalgo Pool.
N8X, I use copy paper, usually whatevers handy
Thanks everyone for the feedback.
I'll see what I can do about the 3D stuff.
