Granny draws j/k? What does that mean???
(no its not a zinc plate, its a metal plate that was surfaced with a brown liquid. After the brown liquid is dry, you can scratch a picture into it. And when youre finished with the picture, you have to put the plate into acid. Due to the acid the scratched draws will come out.
After that you can remove the brown liquid with terpentine and you have a beautiful scratched metalpicture!)
In Germany we call it: "Radierung"
