I like this one better than your other one. This sort of style that you have going on here could make for a great comic strip or graphic novel.
Or a comic in Heavy Metal or something.
One thing to consider trying is - do something in the style you worked in here and work at twice the resolution that you did when you made this. Then, shrink the final by 50%.
I think that might give you a tighter result that would overall strengthen your work, without any real changes in the way you're working.
