I was really inspired by Pat's 1000 paintings thread, and Craig Mullins' words. So, I decided to start painting my ass off and start making my way towards 1000 paintings.

This is the first pic I did with this in mind. It took me not much more than 20 min. I used a photo as reference, but didn't follow it exactly.

Many more to come.

Hmm, stupid gamma settings...
I think it's fixed now, it's still a bit dark, as was the photo I painted from.

It's almost completely black to me, just a little red on the bottom.

Pretty good stuff for a 20 min job, nice moody sky.

whoa... I think your gamma may be way off... all I saw at first was a tiny bit of red in the bottom left... looking in photoshop I found there actually saw a picture in there... looks nice

Yeah, the image is difficult to make out on my screen as well. I just brought it into PS and cranked on the levels. There is a very nice painting in there! Good work KroM! Keep 'em coming! As someone mentioned in my thread, 1 down a bazillion more to go.

Its so dark. What hollywood usually does in this situation is they use a few blue lights as reflective shadows. Just an Idea. Or just as a stronger moon in the sky to give some more light.
