I really wish I could scan some of my work to post here, but my scanner really doesnt like any shading whatsoever (chop it up to buying an $80 scanner)

this doesnt really belong in this discussion base.. but in the interest of helping out..
Are you sure its not set to bitmap (black and white outline) scan? I know many people with $80 scanners that scan full greyscale and color quite nicely. Be sure you check all your importing settings, you could just be doing it wrong.

Are you sure that it's your scanner that doesn't like shades, or you that doesn't know how to shade?
If so, then your next assignment is, "Stop posting a message per thread and learn to shade." |

omfg you are an asshole, I'm just saying what I think about peoples work, if you have a problem with that then deal with it.
I know how to shade but the graphite of my pencils seems to refract the light of the scanners light strangely and makes for weird effects |
