Kinda rough day today.
I just wanted to draw something else than the soldier from WIP. So I started doodling and I really like how it turned out in the end.

I love how you did the glass. Looks really cool! His thumb is a bit lumpy though, I think if you smooth that out some it will make it look a lot better
I gotta agree with gecko about the expression, it looks like he can see the meaning of life in the reflection of that glass or something

I like it a lot
The colours are very good, the expression is great, the reflection...
And I think the thumb is right
But I would add something to the table, so it fits with the rest. A bit of shading should do the job.

I like the new version very much
The table looks very good btw, and the hat adds personality to the character, as well as sets some background (economical status, kind of profession..). |

S4Sb, I haven't seen any of your other pictures in here. Where I can find them?? Why haven't you built up a site?

Nice one s4sb!
It reminds me of the old photographs of workers in the years of the Big Crash of the market of New York.
Could you explain how do you work? I mean...it seems like you make a big silouette in black and then fill it with colour. |

I really dig the glass because you achieved realistic look with few brush strokes! (One thing I would recommend you to aim for) And I also like the way you made mass to the character, sometimes I have problems drawing mass... There is still something you could improve: first thing is the shading (to make the pic more interesting) and (IF you need challenge, draw more realistic head with that expression) second thing is his head. I personally don't like the way you draw cartoon head... maybe the face is anatomically too wrong for me, don't know... or I'm just too tired

Nice! I like the reflection/refraction in the glass, and the painterly "shapes" in the back that make up the crowd. |
