OK, if I can post the other pix than I think I can post this...Used Tria markers. I did a rough underline drawing and then went over it using a "proportional divider" to do up the perspective - a handy tool, and the lines are drawn in.After, I would thicken up the lines to seperate out the shapes..called profiling. And finally markered it in. Coming from film EFX background I would approach designs with it mind when doing concepts for game stuff..Ed--

Thats uhm.. a lot of lines. It's great! What exactly is a "proportional divider" tho? This kind of work baffles me..

Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom
Commencing countdown, engines on
Check ignition and may God's love be with you
Sorry everytime I look at the board now this song pops into my head. Hey Ed how come Feng doesn't post as much as you? Aren't you two in the same group? |

Ed, love your work. What is that drawing divice you mentiond? can you discribe it to those of us who dont know what a "proportional divider" is? thanks!
hay chapel..."Now im floating in a tin can" Thats my favorite line in the song you quoted. Ed posts alot of stuff but alot of it is back work he has done over time. Feng is probably hard at work. Due to non disclosue agreaments its hard some times for artist to show all of what they are working on at that curent time. Thats just my guess and attempt at answering your question.
Hay Ed? What are you working on curently? |

Haha..Nex...OK, I've to post a pix of the device - it's little hard to describe. For one thing it sure beats having two opposite vanishing points off of one's drawing table. Ed-- |

It's true, we can't show current stuff (don't want to sound smug). We can probably post it after the product is out though. I'm working on CGI ride film and game cinematics..I think Feng's working on something similar - work wise. On my own? Taking old sketches/designs and modeling it in Lightwave <<< Great modeling software, has nice renderer as well! How's bot yourself? Ed-- |

Man! I wish I could draw like that! Nice crisp marker shading too. I still can't get over that g-string sketch. Was that drawn from scratch? I gotta get sketchin more. Really inspiring work, Ed. |

Ed,
Man I wish I had time to do all the things you do. You keep ripping out cool stuff. I use to have lots of time, When I was going to a CAD school. Now I'm slaving over CAD plans. Every time I see your stuff I get a surge of energy to draw. Damn it I'm at work. No fun stuff for me. :/
Thanks for rolling all this good stuff by us.
Ps.. I still gotta get that Car Styling Mag. Maybe today!
