definately cool pic. A couple comments though if you don't mind. You didn't ask for them.
The lower body looks flat and like it was pasted onto the background. Also I find it strange how the color on the hands is different from the rest of the body.
But great picture, put a link to the larger one if you can. |

Thought I'd say nice pic. The lighting looks a little funny to me. In some places it looks more like the light is near straight on, and some places more like the light coming down from the top & seems to shift a little left & right too. Hard for me to explain, I'd probably get it wrong anyway Still a great job though, original art like this I think is much tougher to get a perfect looking result than photoreference copywork.
Maybe a few less bubbles & more size variation would look better? The school of fish in the background and the water pattern on the tail are nice touches.

Thanks. Yeah the lighting was something I was having trouble with. I know light acts a bit different underwater and I was trying to achieve that effect. I very rarely look at photo reference. Maybe I need to start doing that a bit more while practicing lighting.
