Great job for 10 hours in my opinion. I like the direction of light on this, but could you work into the background some more? I'd like to see that.

Also, I liked the expression of the main guy in the original line drawing, but feel it was lost a little in the coloured version. Or am I just being picky? Sorry?

Love the piece though.

wow, I love that one.
I agree with Roy, that the expression of the standing guy looked somehow funnier in the linework.

But besides that the coloured version is also really good looking and I wouldnt change the background at all

Great. although Flex removed the skull from the line art. great non-the less.

If youre looking for crits, the expression on the wizard elf was different in the line-art. he looked like he's raising an eye-brow.

Damn BG that looks nice...it is wierd because I started to color that piece last night and I had them up in the mountains to...only the ground was coverd in snow and the lighting in the background was a greenish blue....hmm I will have to finish it sometime. Yours looks great though!

Hi Bg,
I think this picture deserves some attention. You've done a magnificent job. It's incredible that you've done every tiny little bit of work on the Wacom.
I like the values in the sky from yellow to blue. Nice work.

You guys were really helpful. I tried to fix everything you said (expressions, background...), but if there is still something bugging you, let me know. Thanks for your help and comments!!

TheMilkMan: Those orcs are hiding their treasure in misty valley... First I was also going to paint them up to the mountains, but then I thought it wouldn't be very logical, because it's a very noticiable place.

Flexible Elf: I couldn't have make this without your amazing drawing. Thanks! If you want, you can put this in your links page. And do some more drawings so I have something to colour

PS. I like that skull..

Kjetil Nystuen: Thanks, but I think the sky is a little empty, maybe I should paint in some subtle clouds... what do you think?

Bg- Your shit is righteous!

Flex- It looks tight with the lines on top.

Nice work to you both.

Great work guys,

Nice to see a team up like this. The overlay of the line art is a hint at what I think is the "right" direction: retaining the character of the original lines. You might try experimenting with the blending mode of the line layer... perhaps darken, or colour burn or something instead of straight up black... which, while it has it's streangths, tends to look like a colouring book (no aspersions cast on Colouring books; I love 'em!).

The siting figuers position is a bit acqward, given the postion of his limbs and head; I think his uper torso should be rotated more.

Very nice, keep up the good work,

Rhysling
