It's old, it's been around, but I went to the vault for something cheesy..heh.


The tones and grain came out a lot like the way I paint on real canvas, so I wasn't hating it too much, other than the horrid little skull repaints, the left one is at a wretched perspective that I never touched up, and the more I look at the right (and the left actually) the more I see the huge lighting flaws. Anyway, blah blah

Original drawing? It was all painted in place. I used a personal photograph for shape reference (little digicam image of my big head ) but that's all. So there wasn't really an original sketch.

About the negative effect. If you look at the lighting on the sepia parts of the head, and the background, it was painted that way purposely. I know, I get the "negative" negative comment all the time because of the blue...but if there were a "positive" of this, then he'd be white, with a big black "light" shining behing him...hehe

Thanks for the comments guys, I know it has some big flaws, but it's nice to see people taking the time to look
