this is sort of a colour sketch. character concept. I origianly had it looking more cute and manga looking in the rough sketches ( http://www.seraphseven.com/rinaldo/hmmm/conept5.01.jpg ). but this was working so I ran with it.
things could be better. the drawing was lacking in places. I had it as a full figure, but cropped it at the last minute. I still can't draw legs. and although I got some practice with this I don't have to show you all how crap I am^_^ It wasn't that bad but it looks a whole lot better like this. still not sure about the crop. I made a wallpaper of it for my own use (I keep it up there until I get sick of it) 1024x768 http://www.seraphseven.com/rinaldo/smokinWP.jpg
the lines don't really hold up that well at this size. but the crop looks better IMHO.

comments please I'm still interested in this so I might make a few changes. it might work nicely if I rendered it up a lot more for a wallpaper or something, but I'll wait a while before I go into that.

Now that looks pretty cool. My only thing is the face. The far eye should be smaller than the one closest to us. It looks like the face is a different angle than the head. Kinda looks like a girl. Great color use though.

Chapel- thanks, played around with it a bit. the eyes were originaly very manga. I sort of got stuck between two styles and it didn't work out. the head is on a bit of a strange angle but It makes it look a bit goofy which I was kinda going for. same with the eyes although they didn't work out.
hope this looks a bit better. a few people thought it was female actuialy. the character was meant to be adolesent, a lot of manga has quite feminine male characters and I was thinking of that a bit. trying to walk a fine line and fell of the edge . I think this is a bit better in that respect (hope so anyway).

Nice one! Only the color of the glowing cigarette is looking rather like the tip of a match. IMO it should be brighter/more orange/more saturated. Or simply grey (if he is not inhalating that moment).
Just a thought...

That's a REALLY long cigarette. No filter either. Just one of those things would give you lung cancer.

Hiya Rinaldo!

Nice concept sketch! The headset reminds me of the kind used by pilots in WWII.

Something about the head is definately a bit misproportioned. If you brought the neckline down from below the right headphone to the collar bone vertically, then I think that would do it okay.

Apart from that, very nice work!
