Posted this awhile back in the WIP forum. I learned a lot doing this. It's not completely successful, but hey, learning is what it's all about!

| looks really good, i like your use of colors and the eyes have a lot of emotion. is that supposed to be a volcano in the background |

Thanks! The thing in the upper right is supposed to be a tornado with lightning filled clouds above. I wanted to keep the background fairly abstract though, because it lets your imagination do as it wants. The figure's the important thing, so I made that more clearly defined. I really have no idea how long it took-I just doodled every now and then. If I were to do it again, it wouldn't take more than a short day, from concept to finish. It's just that I kept learning more as I went, and so I kept revising it. :]
