Pretty damn cool, great coloring job, but if i had to pick at anything it would be that you can see some of the original sketch lines in the fingers/hand and shoulder. not a big complaint, but it's a pretty fly pic anyhow. |

Nice piece! What I like most is the overall composition, it's a good flow. Though it could have been improved in my opinion if the gun was angled a little more rather than flat towards the camera.
Also, see that area based on the american flag? You're getting some particularly nice texture going on there that I would like to see more of in your future works. That's my favorite part of your picture.
Also, your color choices are good but perhaps it would have been stronger if the image was painted more such that the colors aren't so chaotic all over the place. Does that make sense?
Think in terms of dynamics... Like that old saying, "What seems louder, 5 fire crackers in a row? Or four little firecrackers and then one M80 at the end?"
So rather than lots of random colors all over the place, maybe make the gun have an "overall color" with other colors for details, etc.
But don't get me wrong. I can't color things at ALL!! It's a good picture, i like it or I wouldn't a have commented.
I hope when I make comments here they are not taken negatively.
Believe me, I am well aware of my own inadequacies as an artist. I'm chock full of them.
But my favorite responses to my posted work are when someone advises how they think it could have been better. Then I try to learn something from it.
So that's what I'm doing here. Again, I wouldn't have responded if I didn't like it.
sorry for rambling!!! looking forward to your next piece...!
