You drew the first one up there without any reference?
Nice work! I like it.
But why do you want to keep working on the other one below it-
because the other one does not look even a tenth as good imo (except the nose and the lips).
And if you want to keep it why dont you work more on the shadows like you did in the first picture?
just my 2p and suggestions.
I really like the 1st one though, keep on posting
[edit:] hey funny i posted my reply before you posted your thread..

You are from the future nex!!! Muhahah... err anywyas.. the 2nd one was more of a cartoon style..so top quality shadign didnt ever go.. and I know the 2nd is'nt appealing liek most of my work but to me there is somthign special about it and I dont know what!!.... I also didnt want to make it correct either... hence the no shadows really and the weirtd blue streaks in the hair..ah well.. I guess thats just my warped mind on this peice

Top one is very realistic (especially withourt reference), the 2nd one I also like but I think the chin is maybe a little too wide, cool pic tho'

Hey thanks sergenth.. you have a good memory as a matter of fact this is the same picture as 6 months ago.. but.. it was in a lot worse state..... but thanks for your comments.. for some reason.. I usually get completly ignored... *sigh* however.. the first one (I still dunno what to call her) she was all my mind.. I tried to think of all the women ive been attracted too and then try to draw what she would look like.. and this was the result.. its the first time Ive ever done it correctly. (and its taken me a long long time to get it correct without reference...) so to me... this is a massive step forward.. but to others it mnay seem a waste of time... (you know who ure talking about!!!)
The second was more of a quick cartoony thing.. But it still has a special place in my folio for an odd reason that I cant quite explain!!

The first one is great, still that pupil size problem from the last thread, but it doesn't seem as bad with the picture darker. Still, they are not similar in size or roundness if you stare and compare for more than 3 seconds. It's amazing that you drew that from mind only
The second one seems a little flat in the face whereas the top one has cheek-bone shading and chin-bone shading... did you draw another pic like this 6 monthes ago? |

I like them both Zor, but I like the first one the most just because it's from your mind and it has a very realistic quality to it. That's hard to do...for me anyway. I like the color usage on the second one. Keep up the nice work! |
