l folks, still on my 'learn to paint something other than skins' mission here.
refpic at liquid's suggestion:
Feel a lot better about this attempt than my last one which was purely an attempt to paint in my old style while this is not my usual style or technique.
input appreciated.

Looks great! Bruce Willis from 12 Monkeys? I would post the ref pic too though.

I do get the impression that it's Bruce Willis, but somehow I feel that your's left eyebrow needs to be extended a bit more and that the shadow on that wrinkle line...I don't know what to call it,the line between the left cheek and mouth is too thick in shadow.

Heh... good job Rorschach, you've captured the likeness really well, and done a great job with the *cough* textures (the fur on his jacket, the sheen to his skin, etc). But do I see some subliminal self-promotion under that quote?

Thanks for the input.
I think the comments re: proportions of eyebrow and cheek shadow are on the money and thats something I should pay more attention to next time around with this sort of work.
And yeah, subliminal self promotion was in there!
Working on a highlander scene atm so will see what people think of that next
cheers,
r.
