Hi guys,
Worked on this for the past few nights. The lower half of the mask is still incomplete, but I figured it's enough to post..comments please!
Inspired by Joachim's thread on music. I listened to the hauntingly beautiful Crouching Tiger sound track -- I love "Yearning of the Sword." My god, it's just beautiful.
Reference: Just my face. Not for likeness, but for proportions at an angle, which I'm sure I managed to fubar... Yes I use the cross-hatching filter. Not for its effect, but I like how it hardens edges. Don't throw stones please.
Final step, overlayed a grass texturing which adds noise to the texture. I added a mini tutorial on how to paint grass texture on my site...
Steps here: http://members.home.net/jeremy12/web/ghost.htm
hope you like...!
Thanks,
~PM

Thanks robot
"oops i said man...i didnt know you were a girl...sorry =)"
....err what? sorry not the opposite sex
ArtKeo: I suppose he could be a warrior, back in my mind I was aiming for a peddlar, mysterous hitch-hiker. Guess it's subjective..or unclear
I think the eyesbrows would be hidden by his cap, but maybe I should suggest the shape more..
More comments please, i know it sucks..
