Do not be frustrated..it takes time to do a good robot. Instead of drawing humanitic robot try drawing insects because they're kind of robotic to start off with. As you're drawing insects look at various robotics that are used in the industry - from heavy machineries to surgery tools, or those ones in the surgery room. Make sure you know how the bugs function, or humans for that matter. It would also help to know how machineries work as well. It's hard to make a convincing robot when u don't know how the joints work or how the pistons work together with other parts that makes it functional. Man, when I was a kid what facinated me was not what's outside but what's inside of things. I used to take toys apart because I wanted to know how this toy moved around.
I ruined lots of good toys that way, but I had to know. I also took my bike apart to see what made the pedals rotate smoothly - things like this will get you into lots of trouble as I tried to take my parents car apart...just kidding. No, but visit my site as I have posted few robotic things. http://home.att.net/~ed_lee/index.html be Ed--
