This is a friend of mine, Janet. She let me draw her today and we had a lot of fun. Being an artist is great.
This is going in my portfolio for ACAD.

Hey, I know im still amature material, but i guess questions help me develop my skills sorta. Did you do this drawing without looking at your paper? I did that a few times in art, and whoa, my figures were..... oh so bad....... this looks nice, i like the water colouring (if thats what it is...) |

Hey there. I like the picture. It's kinda cool that you didn't paint the entire image with ...."akvarell" in swedish...watercolor thingie...
Anyway, I have a few questions you (Isric) or someone else could answer.
I've had no properly art education. Is the Art Center in the US good? I've heard both good things and bad things. I talked to a guy who went to AC in Switzerland perhaps 6 years ago. He thought it was great.
I'm from Sweden, so I'd like some tips/information regarding the AC education.
How long is the education? What does it cost?
Is it worth going there. Would it be impossible for me to get in since I'm from Sweden? Were would I stay? Will the education give me a job in the US, or is the intention that I should go back to sweden an work? ... and so on...thanks. Hope anyone can answer.

looks nice Isric! Looking forward to see your whole portfolio, if you will show it to us One small comment about the painting, I think the face looks a bit too big for the body. But the picture has charisma, so don't bother about it

Henrik -
I have a ton of friends who went to Art Center in Pasadena, and they all rock the house. Now I don't know if they were awesome before, or became awesome there. Either way it is my understanding that it is very difficult to get in.
If I recall correctly Craig (spooge) went there.
As far as working in the US. I think you'd have to have some sort or work permit. I don't think that's an easy thing to get from what I remember from friends with similar aspirations. Maybe someone has more experience.

PS: Isric - again, a very nice looking piece!
