I thought about playing around with the pen tool in Photoshop and designing a logo for my username and this is what I came up with. This logo is kinda inspired by the styles of artists like Rodney Matthews and Roger Dean. The intensity and brightness is not exactly equal across the letters, but, hey.
Also, I've included a screenshot of a new 3D engine I'm working on (yeah ladies, I'm also a programmer, babe magnet, I know ). What does this have to with art? Well, I'm working on two seperate portfolios of art and programming and decided that it might be interesting to mix the two into a graphical tour-de-force in 3D. Something like The Shadow of The Beast brought up to date.

hey Ceenda, I'm looking for a programmer for a project I'm working on, absolutely requires a good charecter animation system, and a indoors geared (possibly tile based?) 3D engine. however I don't want something specifically designed for this, mainly due to time constraints.... any Ideas? wanna know more? please ICQ me...

The logo's nifty. I'd like it more if the green pattern in the C and the Es wasn't identicle, though.
The 3d engine looks rather fancy.
Ah, Shadown of the Beast. Had them all. The first was the best, by far, but damn, those T-shirts were cool. I still have the theme tune running around in my mind. |

That's a right-fancy logo/name, Ceenda.
And for that screenie of your 3d engine... is that a topographical outdoors engine? I like the smoothness of the hills and the background sky rivals the orange and blue sunset in Ultima 9!

The only thing that bothers me is the a-letter, make it similar to e-letter and it looks perfect.

Nice work Ceenda..
I've always found your work a bit reminescent of Matthews and Dean.
That logo you did, almost has the old uNo look..
Cool as always!

Ceenda, I like the logo, very crisp.
I thought the second pic was 2d, nice clouds there's something otherworldly about them.

Solitaire: Yes, but I have the patent! NYAHAHAHAHA!!!
burn0ut: Cheers.
shahar2k: One of my mates wrote a really neat character animation thingy. It was based on the Quake MD2 format. I can give you a few links if your interested, but unfortunately I don't have much free time to spend on other projects at the moment though. However, the complete source code to the 3D engines on my site is provided for other programmers to use if they want to.
SlightlyTwisted: Thanks! Yeah, the Es were kinda designed using the Cs. I might redesign one or the other.
Sergenth: Cheers! The engine is just an outdoors one at the moment, though I'm looking into mixing the indoor and outdoor elements. Apparently, id software have got outdoor landscapes in their new Q3 Arena game.
Jerry: They sure are! Look in the projects section at:- www.flyingislands.co.uk
Nice logo! Try it on a black background instead of a white background.
Bg: Yep, that's a good point. That would probably balance out the N as well. Thanks!
Danny: Cheers Danny! Looking forward to more of your stuff!
Axl: Thankyou. I'm hoping to give the engine a bit of a spooky otherworldly atmosphere to it.
Crossbow: Glad you like the logo. I'm currently working on a new site design and I might use a logo quite similar.
Oh, here's an older screenshot but it's another example of the kind of atmosphere I'm aiming for.

hey ceenda, I had a few Ideas (not for my own games, I just think of these things at random)
is it possible to create arbitrarily sized and positioned heightmaps in an engine? such as an upside down heightmap to create a cloud layer (that can change accoarding to some sort of plasma looking algo) that way you have a cloud layer that's dynamically changing and can be optimized by the same LOD algos like ROAM and Quadtrees, or whatever it is you programers are doing these days....

The logo is great. I especially like the typography, original and very sophisticated. Is this a personal logo for the web, or will you eventually be using this on a business card, or other print media? If so it might be important to try the logo at different sizes, as many great logos when blown down to business card size, lose an incredible amount of impact. If its for the web, then its just great.
