I was listening to the Dune soundtrack again.
If you want to appreciate this picture to it's fullest, download the track 'final dream' on the dune cd.
Hope you like it, tell me what you think.

I haven't read the book in a long time and I've never seen the movie. What is that scene? Is it the part where Paul has to put his hand into the box of pain? |

Maybe it's his final dream before he takes the "water of life" crap and becomes fully prescient. I would think it suggest more of the control of the timelines by him, in his palm (even though he thinks of himself more as the hand of fate) |

oh no no no, it's not supposed to be from dune, the music that i used when drawing it is from the soundtrack. This picture is supposed to stand alone. No Dune. None.
Thanks |

Angle of his elbows wrong I belive. Hehe, and I think your either oversaturated on the lighting effects or he's supposed to be blue and the lighting didn't touch him. Anyway, great picture. You been improving very nicely. His eyeballs... look like they going to pop out though. Cheers for Isric! |

So, the image is from Dune?
Just kidding. You are really good with creating characters. The drawings I've seen are very individual and unique. The guy looks like someone I know. |

Ooh neat! As the pic was loading, I was wondering what that round thing was at the top. I didn't expect the rest! hehe. Very nice! |

The Dune soundtrack is awesome, and I really like "Final Dream".
Your character is very nice, although I dont dig that you only used blue/purple on the guy. Maybe some fleshy tones would be nice. And his forearm looks odd..kinda short.

Oh, so great. Love the glow effect. Maybe you add some lens-flares
How long did it take you? Looks so fast, but soo neat!

I think the blueish skin tones would work only if the background had a similar blueish tone to it. Either way, the concept pretty cool. I like the expression on the guy's face. As a music inpired doodle this is very nice.

Isric: Nice pic! You have a really cool style. It might be good to have more colour in the character but it's fine in blue as it is.
I know what you mean about the DUNE soundtrack. The song "Journey to Arrakis" (well, that's what's it's called in Winamp) is probably one of my all time favourite ambient tunes.

Nice Pic..as usual..but I must say, I did like the first painting you did to 'final dream' way back when so much better...the completion and solace of that one really fits the song...This seems like something that I'd think of when listening to The Matrix's original score hehe =)..but I do see where ya got it from Final Dream too *nods*...btw...gonna start painting any of those sketches? *crosses fingers* |
